Backs Coach Tojaga

Nick Tojaga’s passion for Rugby started while in the 7th grade growing up in British Columbia, Canada. In 1991, while in high school, he was a member of a National Championship team, beating Ontario in an overtime match.

Nick went on to college at the University of Louisville, where he ran track & field and played Rugby for a local club team. His team placed 2nd in the Midwest final in 1994. After graduating, he moved to Wayzata, MN and began coaching high school girls’ Rugby. As an assistant coach, he helped the team become State Champions 3 years straight (1999 - 2001). In 2002, he moved to Chicago and played for the Northwest Woodsmen under the tutelage of Paul Bergman.

With a degree in sports medicine, he is a Corrective and High Performance Exercise Specialist and has been training professionally for the past 17 years.

Nick resides in Itasca with his wife, Catherine.
